Our "big" trip for the summer was going to the Colorado River! We took both our dads with us and had an absolute BLAST! We left on August 18th, which happened to be my dad's birthday! We were lucky enough to reserve two riverfront cabins that were next door to each other, so our dads stayed in one and we stayed next door. The kids had a ball, running back and forth between the two cabins. Grant did great in the car, both ways and after he figured out that it was okay to go to sleep in the Ergo on mama, he enjoyed his trip, too;) Poor baby was NOT a fan of the lifejacket, hence me wearing him strapped in the Ergo most of the trip. Nothing like wearing a baby strapped to you in 100+ degree weather! This trip was just what our family needed during a season of long work hours and a landscape project just beginning. Some of my BEST memories from childhood were at the river, so it makes my heart happy that my kids will have some memories from there, too!
