Happy 1/2 Birthday, Bug! Really, your third year is half over?? Um, when did that happen? Anyway, what a fun, first half it's been!
- You are full-of-life, more than ever! Feisty to the core, my girl!
- You've also become quite the "people pleaser," when the mood finds you right, that is! Always quick to ask, "Mommy, are you happy?" OR "Mommy, are you feeling sad?" Funny thing is, these question usually come after you've given me a mouthful of sassiness;)
- Singing ALL DAY long is now your new thing:) Daddy is constantly telling me that he thinks you have the sweetest voice he's ever heard. (Yeah, he's one of your biggest fans!) "It's a Small World" happens to be your favorite.
- Oh, and dancing...you LOVE to dance all around our house
- Princesses, princesses and MORE princesses!!! This is often how we "bribe" you into doing much of what we ask. For example, "Princesses don't ever sas their mommies' and daddies'." OR "If you want to be healthy like a princess, you have to eat two more bites of your dinner." I'm sure this goes against every piece of advice in the book of parenting, but really, I don't care...it works for now and that's all that matters!
- You now sleep in a "big-girl, princess bed" at night. Still love your crib for naps, though! Hey, if it means a peaceful nap, you may sleep ANYWHERE you darn well please;)
- Oh, and speaking of naps, you still indulge in anywhere from a 2.5-3hour nap, each day! God bless you, my child!!!!!!!! Someday, when your a mommy you'll understand what a gift this is! Especially, during my pregnancy and the first few weeks of bringing your brother home!
- Speaking of "brother"....perhaps one of the most exciting things to happen during the first half of your three's was...you finally became a BIG SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and you just LOVE and ADORE "your baby" to pieces!!! Really, you're goo-goo over him! Such a big, big helper when it comes to taking care of him, too! It's been a blast over these past three weeks, watching you take on this new role.
- You've been loving to be outside, riding your scooter or playing soccer with Daddy. You're quite the little "dribbler," too.
- We've already noticed a big change(since Brother has come home), as you're doing a good job having patience when it comes to waiting for Mommy or Daddy to help you. We also are liking the fact that you've become a tad bit more independent during playtime. You seem to have a big imagination and it's really sweet to sit back and watch it unfold in your head!
So, there you go...3.5! May the next six months be full of exploration, laughter and wonderful memories! Love you, my Bugster!
