Glow-Little-Gloworm

Friday, June 25, 2010

Here's a few pics from Michael's first week at home, when he temporarily became known as our little "gloworm." Any parent that's had to deal with the "bili-lights," as they call them, knows what a true "obstacle" they are. Since you're not supposed to turn them off at all (thank you to our home nurse who beat this into our heads oh, 139 times), it makes diaper changes, watching out for the umbilical cord stump, and feeding your baby quite a challenge. However, I am NOT complaining one bit because I'd take those ANYDAY over having to take my little one back to the hospital for light therapy! Through it all (including daily blood draws for a week straight), Michael was an absolute trooper...really, the baby could not have been any better!
