It happened, my baby turned a half-year old on December 2nd. I swear, he was just born yesterday (okay, more like last week!). You get the point...time is going waaaay toooo fast! Maybe the reason it's moving at light speed is because we are just enjoying him to pieces. Really, the three of us could not smother this baby with anymore love!
At his six month check up he weighed in at (are you ready for this) a whopping 18lbs, 4oz! Wowzers- that's exactly one pound bigger than his big sis was at one year! Oh, and he's 28 inches long! Those measurements put him in the 70th percentile for weight and 90-95th percentile for his height! Love my long and lean, big boy!
His half-birthday (yes, I'm one of those that celebrates the half's) also was a big milestone, as it was his first time being introduced to baby food. What an exciting night! Hailey could NOT wait to feed him his first bite of "real" food. She did an amazing job and was so patient with him, making sure to wipe his face and talk him through each bite! Oh, and what kind of celebration would be complete without cake? Not one in our house, that's for sure! So, yes, just as we did with Hailey when she turned six months, we let Michael join in on our fun! Of course, at that age they really don't ingest any of the cake...it's just more of just a "toy" to play with!
